Time Management for the Holidays
November 3, 2008
I need your help! I am putting together a special holiday podcast and would love to speak to someone about time management, especially during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
I am going to forgo the Q&A format this time around. So, time management gurus or anyone that has a good time management tip that would be useful during the holiday season (and beyond) please contact me. You may also call the podcast comment line at: 888-862-1352 to record and submit your tip.
I am currently compiling a list of gift ideas for clients (I have some great ones so far). If you want to add to my list, please send me an email.
I am having so much fun (as always) putting together this podcast. I cannot wait to share it with you — it will be available on November 23rd.
Thank you,
Darlene
New Episode, New Look & More!
October 12, 2008
The latest episode of A Virtual Perception is now available for listening. I had a lot of fun putting this podcast together, so much so I was inspired to launch a brand new podcast. I reveal that piece of news and more in the episode.
Also, I am so very happy to reveal A Virtual Perception’s new home — here at: http://www.mypodcastharmony.com/avp. The blog on WordPress.com will continue to be updated, but the website is going to be where the real action happens. I wanted to create a website specifically so I can showcase my featured guests in a way they deserve and have the ease of adding and updating content.
You may also notice the main domain A Virtual Perception is now home to: mypodcastharmony.com. My Podcast Harmony is a new podcast directory website I am launching. With My Podcast Harmony, you will be able to submit your virtual business podcasts for inclusion in the directory. As the user base builds and directory grows, I will continue to add more content and functions to the site.
Thanks for listening!

Episode 6 - The Goddess is…In
August 23, 2008
A Virtual Perception’s sixth podcast features my interview with Lily Chambers of The Virtual Office Goddess. Lily recently surpassed her first year of business and she sheds light on many of the topics new VAs are interested in when they first enter the industry. We cover topics from why she started her business to the importance of networking and honing your public speaking skills, specifically by attending local Toastmasters meetings. We also talk about privacy and trust issues.
Episode 5 - The Write Associate
August 19, 2008
The fifth episode of A Virtual Perception is complete and features Tammi Metzler of The Write Associate. Tammi talks about transitioning from being an employee to a business owner, her niche copy writing and editing (including internet marketing support) and talks about why she wanted to become a Virtual Assistant in the first place.
Also, I talk about some inexpensive and creative ways to market YOUR business. I also talk about networking in the podcast intro, as well as, with Tammi Metzler of The Write Associate.
Episode 4 — Knowledge is Power
August 16, 2008
A Virtual Perception is back with Episode Number 4! In this podcast, I talk with Monique Terrell of Sparkle Professional Office Services. Monique is the go to gal for Academic Services (e-course creation, etc.) and Web Marketing (social media site setup, weblogs and so on). She also recently launched her very own Blog Talk Radio show. We covered a lot of topics, including how choosing a niche helps a VA in branding and promoting his or her business. Check it out!
I would love to hear some feedback too. How have you liked the podcast episodes thus far? Is there a topic you would like me to cover? Talk back avirtualperception@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you.
