Episode 14 Released

March 1, 2009

Episode 14 Released
Giving Back

I have been a virtual assistant for over a year now and I have noticed a common trait amongst many Virtual Assistants. Virtual Assistants seem to be involved in one type of project or another. Whether that project is helping out another virtual assistant or pitching in with a project in their local community, a virtual assistant always seems to be there to lend a helping hand. Gwynne of The 25th Hour VA is one of those Virtual Assistants. Her project Connecting2Give is still pretty new, but it has the makings of becoming something truly awesome.

In this episode I talk to Gwynne about her project to find out what it is and what she hopes it will accomplish in the future. Gwynne also reveals details about an upcoming giveaway event with Virtual Assistant Forums!

A Virtual Perception on iTunes?

February 18, 2009

From time to time I get very nice emails from Virtual Assistants who listen to my podcast. I wanted to personally thank them for their messages – they really mean a lot. Every so often, I also get a comment or a question. Recently, I received a very nice email from a Virtual Assistant who not only had some very nice things to say, but had a question for me that I thought I would address.

Sharon Rosen of Intelafina asked: “Are your podcasts available through iTunes? I searched the other day and couldn’t find them. I’d love to subscribe via iTunes if they are. I look forward to more podcasts!”

Thank you Sharon for your question!

I am very happy and excited to announce that A Virtual Perception is now on iTunes! You can subscribe, download and listen to podcasts via the iTunes Store. Listeners can also submit a review of the podcast. Simply search for A Virtual Perception in the iTunes Store.

Thank you Sharon for your email and your questions. I love to hear from listeners of my podcast, it  is nice to know you are out there!

If you have a question or comment please feel free to contact me at: avp(at)mypodcastharmony.com. Thank you for listening!

Darlene

Time Management for the Holidays

November 3, 2008

I need your help! I am putting together a special holiday podcast and would love to speak to someone about time management, especially during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

I am going to forgo the Q&A format this time around. So, time management gurus or anyone that has a good time management tip that would be useful during the holiday season (and beyond) please contact me. You may also call the podcast comment line at: 888-862-1352 to record and submit your tip.

I am currently compiling a list of gift ideas for clients (I have some great ones so far). If you want to add to my list, please send me an email.

I am having so much fun (as always) putting together this podcast. I cannot wait to share it with you — it will be available on November 23rd.

Thank you,
Darlene

Professionalism, Confidentiality and Ethics

September 4, 2008

My mind is always churning and coming up with new ideas for future podcast episodes. Recently, I have seen a trend in which new entrepreneurs are not portraying themselves or their business in a professional manner.  I would love to talk more about this topic and provide some educational information for new and established businesses.

Some of the items I would like to explore on this topic are: Preparing a Code of Ethics (what it is and why you should have one), what confidentiality means (to you and to your clients) and tips on how to be professional, especially in a home based business environment.

If you would like to share your thoughts, your tips and tricks on this subject  Please contact me: avirtualperception@gmail.com.
Thank you!
